Guide Rods
The ACE Custom H-D recoil guide systems are engineered to allow recoil springs to compress without coil bind (in a standard system, the recoil spring binds thus allowing a battering ram effect!). The complete compression without coil bind and the unique buffer system utilizing a delrin buffer sandwiched between two metal plates greatly reduces felt recoil and protects the frame from the normal battering associated with the standard coil binding systems.
A similar system is utilized in "45Super"(TM) conversions. This system is designated for heavy loads, 230 Gr. ball or +P ammo.

For government style 1911 pistols.

Our Guide Rod and Buffer System utilizes a SHOCK ABSORBING BUFFER sandwiched between two HARDENED METAL PLATES.   This Buffer System ( a similar type of buffer technology is used in our "45Super"® system) reduces felt recoil and protects the frame from the normal battering associated with standard guide rod systems.

"Our Buffer Technology will last thousands of rounds as opposed to maybe 100 rounds for the simple soft slip on
(disposable) recoil buffers offered by some companies!"
